About Incarnatus
Incarnatus Performing Arts began as an invitation in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Creating Catholic Art in Louisville, Kentucky and Southern Indiana was always a desire in the hearts of many, and the Lord made a way! Our mission is "Creating Beauty for the Glory of God", and we strive to achieve this mission by His grace. The arts, which are meant to point us to God, THE Creator, provide us an opportunity to explore the world and our humanity. In the performing arts, the written word is embodied -- the word becomes flesh, just as Jesus, THE Word of God, became flesh in His Incarnation. Theatre and Comedy help us to encounter the Lord, to explore the experience of others, to ask difficult questions, to participate in culture, and simply to have fun -- in short, to help form us as a whole person. With God and His Church as our guide, we strive to create beautiful experiences for our audience, to cultivate the talents and gifts of our participants, and foster a vibrant Catholic community in Kentuckiana.
Meet the Team
Emma Cox
Emma Cox is a Louvillian by birth, a Nashvillian at heart, and a Hoosier by choice. After earning her BFA in Musical Theatre from Western Kentucky University, she was led back to the Kentuckiana area. Now, she is a Theology Teacher at Our Lady of Providence High School by day, and by night, she dreams of creating a truly Catholic space for the arts. She is passionate about creating true Beauty, Community, and Fun for all ages, and she is thrilled to create through improv comedy and theatre. St. John Paul II, pray for us.
Sophia Hoffert
Sophia Hoffert is a storyteller who has traipsed all over the globe on travels and pilgrimages. After converting to Catholicism in 2021, her work as an artist has heavily focused around screenplays, the Saints, stage plays, and redemptive suffering. A Louisville transplant, she has loved getting to know her new city and the people who live here. She is passionate about understanding diverse perspectives, the importance of language and understanding, and the Dies Irae in film scores. St. Edmund Campion, pray for us!

Isabella Schott
Isabella Schott is a theatre artist originally from Fishers, Indiana who has recently moved to Louisville to continue her professional career. She received her BS in theatre directing from Ball State University. Now that she has made Louisville her home, she is excited to explore the ever growing theatre scene. Isabella is an artist who thrives in collaborative processes and uses her passion for theatre to create inclusive and openminded spaces. She believes that theatre can bring out our compassion for our fellow man and strives to do that in every show she works on.
